Our Story
The story of Hardwood Connection began with a dream and a leap of faith. Matt, originally working at a glass company, found it challenging to support his growing family. Lori’s uncle, who had been in the hardwood flooring business, offered Matt an opportunity. For two years, Matt apprenticed under him, mastering the intricate craft of installing and finishing hardwood floors. Determined to create a better future for his family, Matt took a bold step. He took out a loan, rented the necessary equipment, and started his business from the back of his 1967 Mustang. Leaving his day job behind, Matt embarked on his entrepreneurial journey, bringing along his young sons, who eagerly joined the family venture. Today, those boys are skilled craftsmen who continue to uphold the family legacy.
